Overview

Law on Call is looking for a Trademark Filer to support our rapidly expanding trademark team.

In the Trademark Filer position, you will support our legal team by corresponding with clients to assist with trademark application processing, in addition to completing various assigned projects designated by the team.

Ideally, you’ve done this before. Or maybe you’re an IP geek who lacks experience but is super interested in learning more. Law on Call is the first nonlawyer-owned law firm in the US. As such, you’ll be a part of a vibrant group where we focus on the customer instead of profits, ladder climbing, and billable hours. You will get to help our clients establish the proper documentation to get their trademarks registered, working with the incredibly high standards of protection and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Trademark Attorneys and Paralegals in the preparation of trademark applications with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office)
  • Correspond with clients by phone and email to collect trademark information using our client intake form
  • Assist CSR’s in responding to client inquires regarding the trademark process
  • Utilize the USPTO database to draft goods and services descriptions
  • Utilize USPTO resources to perform trademark clearance checks
  • Prepare and submit forms necessary for trademark registration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with trademarks applications and the USPTO
  • Legal support staff background
  • Bachelor’s Degree
