Overview
We are looking for a skilled Escrow Attorney, licensed in Arizona, to join Law on Call. You need to have at least three (3) years of experience and the ability to seamlessly balance sharp legal expertise with a positive, can-do attitude.
Law on Call is the nation’s first nonlawyer-owned law firm authorized to operate in Utah and Arizona. Our vision is to provide immediate access to legal advice to our clients over the phone for a small monthly fee. Our clients can also hire Law on Call for a wide range of affordable legal services, currently focused on business formations, transactions, contracts, employment issues, trademarks, and other small business legal issues. We don’t currently do litigation.

Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various areas of law, including business formations, business transactions, contracts, lease agreements, employment law as well as other business-related legal issues
- Answer client phone calls and provide legal advice
- Draft, review, negotiate a variety of contracts
- Respond to legal requests and questions quickly and courteously
- Build relationships with clients
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients or practice areas
- Be flexible and take initiative to help support other areas of the business as needed
- Ability to learn and adapt to an autonomy driven, employee-focused company culture
- Act with integrity, demonstrating honesty, transparency, positivity, and trust
- Adaptable and willing to flex with changes, promote positive change management, and help drive company initiatives
- A high threshold for navigating ambiguity while developing, implementing, and maintaining process improvements through growth and change
- Be collaborative & coachable
Minimum Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience with business law, transactional law and/or contracts
- Strong communication and people skills
- Strong desire to help people and businesses
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an ABA approved law school
- Licensed to practice law in Arizona
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- You’re approachable, adaptable, and have a great sense of humor (because we do too!)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong self-reliance in handling client cases, including researching unfamiliar legal matters and providing well-informed advice independently
- Trademark experience
- Experience in fostering and developing ongoing client relationships
- Licensed to practice law in Utah
